A coupon that customers can redeem online by entering a specific code when placing their orders.
An each product is one sold by a single unit of itself, for example a lemon (PLU 55).

A payroll document on mainframe used to report changes to basic working hours, for example adding overtime, sick days and holiday.
A request to remove a product from sale as quickly as possible for quality, health and safety or legal reasons. We won’t usually contact our customers to ask them to return any they’ve previously purchased.

A skill taught in a Tesco training session to help people understand reactions to change and managing resistance.
Colleagues who have a common interest and who get together to find out information. For example, share knowledge and experience to benefit the individual and the business.
Series of processes to be completed at the end of a given time period. Commonly end of day (EOD), week (EOW), period (EOP) and year (EOY).
Entertainments. A category of products available in stores and online via Tesco Direct.
Clothing including men’s, women’s and kids’ socks, hosiery, nightwear, kids’ vests, underwear, bras, briefs and baby basics.
A unique 13-digit number allocated to each product and sometimes shown after the Tesco Product Number on a shelf edge label. You may hear people refer to a product’s EAN – this is the European Article Number. Every EAN has an associated TPNB.

A type of Tesco store in the convenience store format. These stores stock a small amount of everyday items and can be on petrol forecourts.

A change to a Tesco store to increase its floor space.
A type of Tesco store, similar to a hypermarket, Extra stores are our largest and stock the biggest range of non-food products. They tend to be between 60,000 and 120,000 square feet in size.
